The following are an outline of the terms and conditions you could expect if you worked for the Trust.
Working Week
There is a working week of 37 hours, although senior colleagues will be expected to work such hours as are necessary to fulfil the responsibilities of their role, including attendance at evening meetings and occasional weekend meetings. The Trust offers flexibility in working arrangements.
We offer paid time off for Jury service, blood donors, medical screening and public duties.
Probation
There is a six months probation period for all permanent posts.
Pay
We offer competitive market salaries that are performance linked. Salaries are benchmarked annually to ensure that they remain competitive.
Colleagues are paid monthly on the 25th of each month by bank transfer.
Overtime is not normally paid to employees, although time off-in-lieu can be given where agreed.
Annual Leave
Our colleagues are entitled to 25 days plus 3 days between Christmas and New Year for office closure, and of course statutory, public and bank holidays.
Managers are eligible for 30 days holiday plus statutory, public and bank holidays. Christmas closure is to be covered by annual leave.
Car Allowance
Some posts are eligible for an essential car user allowance. Casual car users will receive a business mileage allowance for mileage undertaken.
Managers are eligible for a 10% car allowance.
Relocation
A relocation allowance will be considered for some posts and is paid subject to meeting certain criteria. This will be discussed with you at interview if it is relevant to your circumstances.
Health & Wellbeing
Occupational sick pay is dependent on length of service and can be up to six months full pay and six months half pay after five years’ service.
We offer payment towards the cost of an eye test and glasses for VDU users and company vehicle drivers.
Our Occupational Health service provider provides independent medical advice and confidential counselling for our colleagues. We also run healthy lifestyle initiatives as an organisation.
Pension Scheme
We offer the choice of two Final Salary Pension Schemes:- The Local Government Pension Scheme or the Social Housing Pension Scheme. Colleagues who become members of a pension scheme are covered by a death in service payment.
Family Friendly Policies
We offer maternity and paternity pay that exceeds statutory requirements. Adoption leave is also offered.
As mentioned previously, the Trust offers flexibility in working arrangements and special leave for family emergencies is offered.
Childcare vouchers are available through Busy Bees.
