Tenants First newsletter approved by Plain English Campaign
The Maidstone Housing Trust customer newsletter ‘Tenants First’ has been awarded the ‘Approved By’ standard from the Plain English Campaign group.
The standard is for magazines and newsletters which are issued a number of times of year, which is well written and designed and which is appropriate for its intended audience.
Tenants First is the Trust’s main way of telling customers the current news and changes at the Trust, as well as information on services and community activities. The newsletter is produced by an Editorial Panel, made up of customers and Trust staff.
On assessing the newsletter, the Plain English campaign found that “overall the Newsletter is showing a commitment to plain English in its use and level of language and the text is written in an appropriate tone”.
