Dragon Boat Effort Leads to £1,672 Gift to Air Ambulance
Maidstone Housing Trust gave it their all in the dragon boat contest at Bewl Water in September. They didn't win the event, but they did win the hearts of Kent Air Ambulance when they donated the proceeds of their charity fundraising effort.
The Trust crew, skippered by IT Manager, Nick Edwards, came back from the event with weary limbs and scraped knuckles but, as Nick said: “It was well worth the effort and we are so pleased to have raised so much.”
Representatives of the crew, together with Trust Chief Executive, Peter Stringer, visited the Marden HQ of the Kent Air Ambulance to hand over the cheque.
