Tenants & Residents Associations

Tenants and Residents Associations can have a positive impact on housing estates and can help turn problem areas into happy and vibrant communities.

Often residents groups are run by the few to act on behalf of everyone else and we at Maidstone Housing Trust are keen to encourage more people to come forward.

We work in partnership with Maidstone Borough Council, the Police and PCSOs, Community Development Workers, Councillors and others to help address issues and improve communities.

We welcome people from all sections of society and offer support and training.

Being involved in a residents association can be very rewarding, and bring about real change.

We have a map of residents associations (this is a PDF file and will open in a new window) If you want to know if a residents association operates in your area, or you're interested in starting one up, again please contact our Community Involvement Officer on 01622 212542.

Ringlestone Community Association

Ringlestone has a very active Community Association. Recent projects they have been involved in include:

A tidy up of the recreation area

A quiz night

And a Partners and Communities Together (PACT) survey, which looks at the top three concerns the residents have.

Ringlestone community action day

Wendy Eagle is Secretary of the Ringlestone Community Assocation, and can be contacted on 01622 205848.

Coombe Farm Residents Association

Coombe Farm Residents Assocation meet at the Children's Hut every two months. Local people asked for a community bonfire party for the children, so we supported it, along with local Councillors, and helped it happen.

Coombe Farm and Tovil Bonfire Party

Maidstone Housing Trust staff and local young people had a 'tidy up' morning to remove litter and rubbish, and generally improve the look of the area. It was so successful we are holding another in February.
