About the Trust
“Maidstone Housing Trust exists to provide affordable homes and to improve the quality of life in the communities we serve.”
Formed in February 2004, Maidstone Housing Trust is Maidstone's largest social landlord
We are a Registered Social Landlord. We are a non-profit making, charitable organisation, registered with the Housing Corporation, and a company registered with Companies House.
Unpaid volunteers serve as non-executive Directors on our Board, made up of tenants or leaseholders, independents, and Maidstone Borough Councillors. They are jointly responsible for governing the Trust’s activities, and overall strategy and direction of the Trust. More information on our Board of Directors.
The Trust is a member of the National Housing Federation (NHF) and has adopted the NHF’s Code of Governance, requiring the highest standards of governance, accountability and probity in everything we do. Our compliance with the Code of Governance is reviewed annually.
